The new 'AI Factory Architect' aims to deliver dedicated compute capacity for nations and enterprises using behind-the-meter power.

SovAI, Inc. has officially launched as "The AI Factory Architect," a company focused on the design, construction, and operation of sovereign AI compute campuses. According to reporting from the Financial Post, the company targets enterprises, communities, and nations that require dedicated AI capacity delivered on their own timelines.

The company's model is designed to address a critical infrastructure gap: the electric grid. The Financial Post reports that in various regions, requests for data center interconnection now face wait times of three years or more. To bypass these delays, SovAI builds permitted, behind-the-meter generation on-site, which is paired with high-density GPU infrastructure.

SovAI CEO and Co-Founder Joe Doyle stated that the grid queue has become the bottleneck for the current generation's industrial buildout of AI, noting that the company's approach allows customers to "own their compute destiny."

The company's architecture is based on three pillars: * **Sovereign Fuel:** Securing energy sources under the customer's control. * **Sovereign Power:** Converting fuel into dedicated on-site electricity. * **Sovereign Compute:** Engineering and operating the AI factory as an integrated system.

SovAI utilizes an orchestration platform to manage these three elements in real time. The company is currently developing a pipeline of campus sites across Canada and the United States. Each site will include SovU, a workforce and education program intended to provide AI career pathways and literacy to host communities. SovAI expects to generate first revenue from digital design and engineering approximately two months after a project begins, with broader first revenue targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.
