The company is releasing SDKs for Raspberry Pi and ESP32 boards, alongside a limited run of home automation gadgets.

Meta has open sourced the code for its Muse AI agent, allowing users to integrate the technology into their own custom hardware. According to reporting from The Verge, the company is providing SDKs that enable developers to program off-the-shelf ESP32 boards or Raspberry Pi systems.

Meta suggests several DIY applications for the agent, including installing Muse on HDMI sticks for large-screen displays, using color E Ink displays for reminders, or building small touchscreen devices similar to a "DIY Muse Charm." While encouraging these workbench projects, Meta has warned users to "proceed at your own risk."

In addition to the open-source tools, Meta is releasing a proprietary device called the Muse Home Link. Nat Friedman of Meta Superintelligence Labs stated that the company manufactured 5,000 of these gadgets. The Muse Home Link is designed to work with community-built skills to perform home automation tasks, such as controlling a television, turning on lights, or sending documents to a printer. Meta noted that shipping for the Home Link is expected later this month, with a waitlist currently open for interested users.
