From a business and technical standpoint, the trade-off is steep. The Verge reports that DLSS 5 consumes significant GPU power and can potentially cut a game's framerate in half. While Nvidia argues that players like Cade Cunningham look more lifelike with detailed skin and better-integrated uniforms, the risk of "aggressive" slider settings remains a point of contention.
