Jensen and Devers Claim Player of the Week Honors

Kansas City Royals rookie Carter Jensen and San Francisco Giants star Rafael Devers have been named the Players of the Week in their respective leagues, as MLB.com first reported.

Jensen, who has recorded 22 home runs in his rookie campaign, earned his first AL Player of the Week Award after a five-game stretch behind the plate. During that span, Jensen hit .421 (8-for-19) with three home runs, three doubles, and a triple, totaling six runs scored and six RBIs. MLB.com reports that Jensen is the first Royals player to win the award since Bobby Witt Jr. on May 11, and the first Kansas City rookie to do so since Vinnie Pasquantino on Aug. 15, 2022.

In the National League, Rafael Devers took home the honor after hitting .385 (10-for-26) over seven games for San Francisco. Devers drove in 13 runs and hit six home runs, recording at least one long ball in five of those seven contests. The three-time All-Star has maintained a high level of production since the Midsummer Classic, posting a .993 OPS with 40 RBIs and 16 home runs across 49 games, as reported by MLB.com.

Devers has now earned five Player of the Week Awards over the course of his career. He previously won the AL honor three times while playing for the Red Sox in 2019, 2023, and 2025, and earned his first NL award in San Francisco on Sept. 2 of last year.
