Backed by a $1.6 million seed round, ETN is expanding its London-based studio to capture the accelerating pace of Europe's tech ecosystem.

The European Technology Network (ETN) is shifting to a five-day-a-week live-show schedule starting July 27, according to TechCrunch. Launched last October by Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers, the London-based network previously operated a two-day-a-week livestream on YouTube and X that reached over 5 million views.

To fuel this expansion, ETN announced a $1.6 million seed round. Investors include Powerhouse Capital, Axel Springer SE (owner of Politico and Business Insider), a co-founder of LADbible, and angel investors from DeepMind and OpenAI. The capital will support a move to a larger studio in Kings Cross, the expansion of its eight-person team, and the launch of a newsletter.

Chambers told TechCrunch that the move to a daily format is a response to the speed of the European tech scene, noting that London startups have raised $14.7 billion this year. Dealroom data cited by TechCrunch highlights six companies that raised over $500 million: Wayve, Superintelligence, ElevenLabs, Recursive, Ineffable Intelligence, and Isomorphic Labs.

ETN has positioned itself as a primary press stop for the industry. Guests have included Kanishka Narayan (U.K. AI minister), the founder of Synthesia, the founder of Granola, and the CFO of Legora. Upcoming interviews include Sequoia partner George Robson and former U.K. prime minister Rishi Sunak. The network has also hosted an investor from Andreessen Horowitz.

Monetization is driven by advertising, with sponsors including Base, Polymarket, and ElevenLabs. Knight and Chambers cited TBPN founders Jordi Hays and John Coogan as pioneers of this media model. While based in London, ETN aims for global reach, having broadcast from the RAISE AI Summit in Paris and the Panathēnea Conference in Athens.
