Ant International and Bank of China (Hong Kong), known as BOCHK, have announced a strategic partnership designed to integrate fintech and AI technologies into corporate financial services, according to a report from the Financial Post.
The collaboration focuses on several key areas: enhancing cross-border payment connectivity for retail consumers, empowering real-time treasury management, and providing intelligent liquidity management solutions for global enterprises. Additionally, the two entities aim to improve financial services available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As part of the initiative, BOCHK will collaborate with Ant International’s Bettr, WorldFirst, and Alipay+ platforms. Sun Yu, the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of BOCHK, stated that the bank intends to leverage its position as Bank of China’s Southeast Asia regional headquarters to provide secure cross-border financial services.
Eric Jing, Chairman of Ant International, noted that the two organizations have been collaborators since 2013. Jing stated the goal of the partnership is to ensure accessible and seamless financial payments for all users and businesses. Other key figures mentioned in the announcement include Wang Huabin, Deputy Chief Executive of BOCHK, and Kelvin Li, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Platform Tech at Ant International.
